The start, run from the boat
An Android app on the tablet you already navigate with, reading the boat’s own instruments over FaRo UDP or NMEA 0183. Ping the ends, run the sequence, hold the line — and press FINISH at the crossing.
Everything it sees goes to the cloud while you sail. The day is already in the debrief when you tie up.

Bring the data as it left the boat — or stream it live
Drop the log on Nordic Stars the way it came off the instruments. Preview what was found — channels, time range, events — then commit. Re-uploads are recognised and never duplicate a race. Or bring no file at all: a boat running Race Control streams the day as it sails.

Atlas recordings — the native .vkx, or the Vakaros Connect CSV export. Heel and trim are derived on import from a .vkx; the CSV already carries them.
NMEA 2000 .zip
A zip of your Yacht Devices YDVR recorder’s files. The sailing PGNs are decoded server-side, B&G’s proprietary one included — target speed, target angle and VMG.
NMEA 0183 .log / .txt
A raw sentence log from any instrument system that speaks it — position, speed, heading and wind. Lines written before the first GPS time fix have no clock to stand on, so they are dropped and counted.

FaRo UDP
Straight off the boat’s bus to the tablet — one packet carries every channel at once.
Exocet UDP
A Pixel sur Mer Exocet feeds the tablet over its own protocol: every variable the box exports, with its unit, including the ones a team built in its own graph.
B&G NMEA 0183
H5000 and Hercules put NMEA 0183 out natively. A multiplexer or WiFi gateway carries it to the tablet — position, heading, speed and wind.
NMEA 0183 TCP / UDP
Any instrument system that speaks it. Set the port once per boat and the tablet listens.
NMEA 2000 via gateway
Through a gateway that puts the bus out as NMEA 0183 — Yacht Devices’ gateways do. The tablet reads it like any other 0183 source.
Navigation
Plan the race ashore, sail it on the boat
Draw a coastal or offshore course on a map in the browser: waypoints, rounding sides, the water you must not enter, and the depth you want under the keel. For every plan with a route, the platform fetches your forecast models on each model’s own run schedule, clipped to a corridor around it — then draws them on the chart with a meteogram at any point you click.
Route the course in the browser with the same engine the tablet runs at sea, compare a slower polar or a second model, and write the routed path back into the plan. On the boat, PATH AHEAD routes the course ahead again from where the boat is. A computed route is a planning result, not a passage plan, and the ship’s plotter stays the navigator’s authority.
