This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone using Nordic Stars. It exists so that one team’s use never degrades another’s — or anyone’s rights.
1. Prohibited uses
Illegal activity
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
Data you have no right to process
- Uploading telemetry, logs or other content you do not have the right to process — including another team’s proprietary data.
- Processing personal data in violation of applicable data protection law.
Race tracking providers
- Connecting provider credentials you are not entitled to use, or using captured tracking data in breach of the provider’s own terms.
- Redistributing, reselling or republishing captured provider data outside your team’s own debrief use.
System abuse
- Probing, scanning or attempting to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access.
- Introducing malware, or attempting denial-of-service attacks.
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) against the Service outside its documented interfaces.
- Circumventing usage limits, billing or entitlement checks.
Misrepresentation
- Impersonating any person or organisation, or registering with false information.
- Sending spam through organisation invitations.
Competing use
- Attempting to discover the Service’s source code, algorithms or architecture, or using the Service to build a competing product.
2. Fair use
Storage and processing are metered by common sense: a boat’s own season of logs is normal use; bulk-loading archives unrelated to your boats is not. We may throttle or restrict usage patterns that place disproportionate load on shared infrastructure, and will contact you when we do.
3. Enforcement
Violations may lead to warnings, throttling, suspension, termination or legal action, proportionate to the violation. For non-critical violations we give written notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure (typically 15 days). We may act immediately where a violation threatens the Service, other customers or third parties, or where the law requires it.
4. Reporting
Abuse of the Service: abuse@nordicstars.ai
Security vulnerabilities: security@nordicstars.ai — we appreciate responsible disclosure and will respond promptly.
